Dental Services
A healthy smile is part of a full recovery.
Dental care is often the first thing veterans lose access to — and the last thing that gets restored. GAC provides complete dental services to ensure no veteran chooses between a toothache and groceries.
Dental health is one of the most neglected dimensions of veteran care — and one of the most consequential. Poor oral health is directly linked to heart disease, diabetes complications, respiratory infections, and chronic pain. It affects confidence, nutrition, employment, and social connection. Yet for many veterans, dental care has been deferred, inaccessible, or simply not covered by their VA plan. GAC changes that.
Our dental services provide comprehensive oral healthcare to veterans — covering preventive, restorative, and emergency dental needs. We coordinate with VA dental benefits to maximize coverage, and we ensure that cost is never the reason a veteran goes without care. Whether you're a resident in our housing program or a veteran in the community, dental health is within reach.
What’s Included:
Preventive Care — Cleanings, Exams & X-Rays
Regular preventive care catches problems early and keeps minor issues from becoming major ones. All veterans in our program have access to routine cleanings, comprehensive oral exams, and diagnostic X-rays.
Restorative Services — Fillings, Extractions & Repairs
When damage has already occurred, our restorative dental services address it directly — including fillings, tooth extractions, crown repairs, and other interventions needed to restore function and eliminate pain.
Emergency Dental Care
Dental emergencies — severe pain, infection, broken teeth, or trauma — receive prompt attention. Veterans don't have to wait days or weeks to have an urgent dental problem addressed.
VA Dental Benefits Coordination
Our team works directly with VA dental benefits to ensure veterans use every dollar of coverage they're entitled to. For veterans whose VA dental coverage has gaps, we work to identify supplemental options so care continues uninterrupted.
Why Choose This Service?
For veterans who have experienced housing instability, dental care is often the first casualty and the last thing restored. Years without access to a dentist means problems compound — what starts as a cavity becomes an infection; what starts as gum inflammation becomes bone loss. GAC's dental program meets veterans where they are, without judgment, and develops a care plan that addresses both immediate needs and long-term oral health.
The impact of restored dental health extends far beyond the mouth. Veterans who receive consistent dental care report improvements in self-confidence, reduced chronic pain, better nutrition from being able to eat comfortably, and stronger social engagement. When a veteran smiles without pain or embarrassment, it signals something deeper: that they're being cared for completely, not just partially. That matters.
Let us help restore the health — and the confidence — that comes with complete care.
